Two people have been feared dead in a Train mishap which occurred on Sunday in the US state of Pennsylvania, with at least 30 more passengers sustaining injuries.
The ill fated train 89 which was headed for Georgia through Savannah from Newyork crashed into an excavator which was believed to be carrying out maintenance work on the rail at that time, with the impact of the crash severely damaging the engine of the
train .
Its been confirmed that the two people who were confirmed dead were said to be the excavator operator and his supervisor who were working on the rail track as at the time of the accident, the deceased are believed to be employees of armtack .
Authorities have attributed the accident to human error as its is believed that Amtrak have a 20 step procedure for having its work vehicles on track, this ensures that no train goes on track during the time which these vehicles would be on track carrying out maintenance .
The 30 people injured have been taken to the hospital and are all in stable conditions.
