4 Stations Sealed By DPR In Akwa Ibom For Diverting Petroleum Products

In a bid to further curtail the lingering months long fuel crisis , the department of petroleum resources DPR have sealed four filling station in Akwa ibom for illegally diverting  33,000 litres of petrol meant for Enugu

Revealed this while on surveillance exercise in the state capital Uyo, he further disclosed that the diverted fuel which was meant for Enugu was found in Uyo

The diverted truck with registration number MHA 416 XA was loaded with fuel from porthacourt and was supposed to be headed for Enugu.

Mr Nkanga who promised to alert the DPR operations controller in Enugu about the development, insisted that the diverted truck would be discharged at the defaulting stations after which they would be sealed up, he however revealed that the products would be sold at official price of  #86.50 , he also did not spare the erring marketer as he would be fined  #200 per litre of the fuel diverted.
