It was a case of pandemonium and total unrest at the Sanya / Ijesha axis on Friday as a tanker driver was apparently knocked down and killed by an official of the Lagos state traffic management authority LASTMA.
It was gathered that the deceased driver Who was identified as Salisu Sanni by name was said to have been struggling with a police officer for the key to his
truck when he was hit by the Latsma Official, the incident has since caused the other tanker drivers to obstruct the flow of traffic along that axis of the expressway in protest of the death of their colleague.
According to eyewitnesses it all started when the Sanni,s truck was intercepted by security operatives , this caused a stir between Sanni and the policeman who after some bit of argument pushed sanni to the ground where he was run over by an upcoming LATSMA vehicle.
