A 6.2 magnitude earthquake was reported to have strucked the coast of Ecuador, only a few days after the country experienced a major Earth quake that killed nearly 500 people.
The 6.2 magnitude quake was centered at about 70km of Esmeraldas a pacific coastal town was measured at a depth of 10km as reported by the Pacific
Tsunami Warning Center.
According to witnesses in the area two tremors which lasted for about 30 seconds each were felt along the coastal lines of Cojimies , waking people up and sending them into the street. it was reported that the effect were not felt in the capital city of Quito.
A total of 480 people have been reportedly killed And another 107 left missing , while over 4600 homes have been destroyed in the disaster.
