The super Eagles this evening lost to the Pharaohs of Egypt in the on going qualifiers of the 2017 African cup of nations billed for Gabon , the Eagles lost to a solitary strike by Ramadan Sobis in the match played in Cairo,
This loss puts the Eagles on the verge of not qualifying for the biannual tournament, as Egypt now tops the table comprising of three countries after Chad pulled out a few
days earlier due to financiaal constraints, with this victory Egypt now sits atop with seven points with Nigeria and and Tanzania on two points each.
Whatever transpires in the remaining matches its highly unlikely that Nigeria would still make it to the tournament in Gabon as even a win would only mean Nigeria gets a Maximum of five points, Nigeria last participated in the Afcon tournament in 2013 which the eventually won then under coach Stephen Keshi, this would be their second successive miss in a row.
